A day here
Mornings move slower. Evenings take longer.

The residents
The goats live here. You just get to visit.
Friendly, opinionated, and always ready to be fed. Meet the crew from the barn window, the trail, or the deck.

Get back to nature.
Coffee on the deck watching the water wake up. A kayak and a paddle boat on the bank. Kids skipping rocks. Sandhill cranes, turtles, and if you’re lucky, the rare albino deer that lives nearby. The water sets the pace of the whole day.

★★★★★“Absolutely stunning! If you search “comfy cabin in the woods” this should be the first thing you see! Rustic but all of the comforts of home (except a dishwasher) and the fireplace required for an insta-worthy getaway. Everything in the cabin was so clean, orderly and easy to find/use. The goats can be involved as you want them to be - if you want to see them, open the curtains and they will stare at you through the window (if not, keep them closed) but they definitely gave the “not in the city anymore” vibes we wanted. Hosts were wonderfully responsive and distant. Everything you need is there. Just bring your own groceries - no seamless/delivery. Honestly 11 out of 10. Will come back.”

★★★★★“We enjoyed our stay immensely. I went for a short girls weekend away from the city, looking for some quiet and tranquility without being too disconnected from the world. We absolutely loved the goats, they bring so much joy!!! That was definitely the highlight of our stay. We also spent a lot of time in the hot tub as well as plenty of time hanging out playing games and reading by the fire in variety of comfortable seating options! Cherie was very helpful and responsive, she even let us check out late so we could have a little more time with our goat friends in the morning before we left. We also liked the location. It was disconnected enough that you felt the peace and quiet, but it was a short drive to town if you want to get dinner out or go shopping. This is possibly the first time ever I genuinely did not want to leave a place I am staying. I am already in communication with friends to make another trip happen maybe later this year!”

★★★★★“This private barndo was exactly what we hoped it to be for a few day getaway! Despite it being low temperatures, we stayed busy with the many board games, puzzles, cards, movies, and vinyl records. The hot tub is EVERYTHING! My wife wouldn’t get out of the swinging chair next to the wood pellet stove. We cooked a couple meals in house, fed the goats, and went on a mini stroll around the property. Overall a solid experience here, would love to come back during warmer months. Book your stay, you’ll be glad you did!”
